 Hi, Im Jennilyn!

Before I graduated from the Aveda Institute of Columbus over ten years ago, I got my degree in psychology from Utah State University. Although I loved my studies, and graduated with honors, I wanted to explore my creativity while still working with and listening to people. Thus, my passion for cosmetology was formed, and I started on a new career path, trying to incorporate what I learned in college to help be a better friend to all of my clients. 

For four-and-a-half years, I worked for Aveda salon in Columbus, Ohio, where I took extra classes yearly in color theory, color placement, balayage, curly hair, and all kinds of cutting techniques. When I felt confident enough in my abilities, I set out on my own, determined to combine the techniques I learned in both hair design and psychology, to create a more therapeutic experience when clients get their hair done. I started my own brand, a hair boutique called Chez Cherree, which is both a play on the french Chez Cherie (the home of the lovely one) and my nickname from my old salon: Cherry. 

At every appointment, you can expect to be met with absolutely no expectations beyond mutual respect. If you need a listening ear, I've got you. Would you rather stay quiet, because you have social anxiety? No problem! Just let me know. Whatever you need to feel relaxed and comfortable, sit back. I'd be happy to accommodate, because at Chez Cherree, you really are home!
